Beontag Silverline Blade II

Silverline Blade II

The Silverline Blade II boasts an excellent reading range of 10 meters (33 feet) on metal, despite its small footprint. While optimized for metal, the Blade also works on plastic and liquid containers. Industrial adhesives have very high initial tack and short curing times. For this reason, the Silverline Blade II is an ideal solution for industrial and IT asset tracking, as well as medical devices.

RFID tag (UHF) - 16 x 18mm

The RFID system is a mechanism that uses information stored in tiny wireless chips to identify and manage people and items.

Additionally, it is expected that the market will expand for applications such as access control systems as information security measures, and product logistics management systems for inspection and inventory. There is increasing attention on it as a foundational technology for the IT and automation of society. Furthermore, it is suitable for mobile communication due to its short wavelength and the ability to miniaturize antennas. Operating frequency: 915MHz. Size: 16 x 18mm. Material: PET (50um) + Cu (12um). Test reader: ThingMagic Mercury4 RFID Reader. Test distance: 15~25cm. IC: TI UHF Gen 2 IC: RI-UHF-11111-01. Operating temperature: -40~85℃. [Blog] Can RFID tags that are metal-compatible be read in any environment?

Recreating the actual office environment! A verification corner for inventorying company assets using RFID!

In the first round of testing, we found extreme results depending on where the tagged chairs were placed, with some being readable from 10 meters away while others could only be read from 2 meters. In the second round of testing, after placing tags in various locations on the chairs and scanning them, we concluded that to ensure readability regardless of where the tag is placed, one should choose "slightly more expensive metal-compatible tags" rather than "affordable metal-incompatible tags." The theme for this third round is "Are metal-compatible tags really invincible?" In previous tests, metal-compatible tags consistently produced stable results regardless of the material of the asset they were attached to. But is that really the case? Could there be instances where "despite being metal-compatible, they couldn't be scanned"? Therefore, we will conduct tests while recreating an actual office environment! You can read more in the related links. We encourage you to take a look.

[Column Presentation] Inventory of Internal Assets with RFID Tags: How Does It Actually Work? Part 2

Is the RFID technology, familiar from inventory management and self-checkout, usable by general companies for internal asset management? What are the differences compared to barcodes and QR codes?

This is the second part of an article considering whether RFID technology, familiar from inventory management and self-checkout, can be used by general companies for internal asset management. Please refer to the first part as well. This time, I would like to introduce actual questions we received from customers who are considering RFID, along with the characteristics of barcodes, QR codes, and RFID. "Isn't it common in clothing retail stores to just wave a scanner and read the tags? I want to do inventory like that. Is it possible?" "RFID is like a magic wand where 'once you wave it, the reading is done,' right?" These are actual words we heard from customers. While inventory management for products and internal asset inventory are often lumped together, the thinking behind them is actually quite different. The difference lies in 'quantity management' and 'item management.' You can view the continuation through the related links or by downloading the PDF. Please take a look.
